Personal Training and Craniosacral Therapy in ATX
Structure Creates Freedom
I care deeply about strength. And I don't believe strength means constantly pushing harder.
I'm interested in efficiency and building the capacity to move through the world with stability, coordination, confidence, and ease.
That means sometimes I challenge you. Sometimes I’ll encourage you to slow down. Sometimes I’ll change the plan entirely because your body is demanding you redirect your focus.
Certified in Personal Training, Corrective Exercise, Craniosacral Therapy, TRE, and Nutrition with a degree in Health Psychology. I have spent 15+ years studying and working with movement and the human body.
Beyond my formal certifications, much of my education has come through thousands of hours working with clients, watching patterns emerge, learning when to intervene, learning when not to, and becoming comfortable with the fact that every body requires a slightly different equation.
MY HOPE FOR YOU
I don't want you to need me forever.
I want you to become increasingly fluent in your own body.
To know when you need to push.
When you need to rest.
When something feels off. When something feels aligned.
When you need more stability. When you need more freedom.
And when the answer isn't another workout, another restriction, or another person telling you what your body should be doing.
I want you to trust yourself.
Because ultimately, I'm not trying to teach you how to listen to me.
I'm teaching you how to listen to you.
About Courtney Sprawls
For more than a decade, I've been studying the human body. Learning about how it moves, adapts, compensates, strengthens, holds tension, and communicates.
My work began with strength and movement, but the deeper I went, the less interested I became in treating the body like a collection of isolated parts. The body is an integrated system.
Muscles, bones, fascia, nervous system, breath, habits, environment, thoughts, and experience are constantly influencing one another. My job is to look closely enough to understand those relationships and help you understand them, too.
MY APPROACH
I'm a personal trainer and craniosacral therapist, and my work sits at the intersection of strength, anatomy, movement, and awareness.
I don't believe in forcing the body into a predetermined protocol.
Instead, we pay attention. We investigate.
We make adjustments. We see what changes. Then we build from there.
I want you to leave our work with more than a good workout or temporary pain relief. You will get the results you came in for- weight loss, muscle gain, strength, confidence, pain-free movement, etc. And.. I want you to understand your body well enough to recognize what you need, make informed decisions, and have confidence to care for yourself beyond our sessions.
Trust your own internal compass.

In- person
Build a body you can trust.
Personal training for people who want to become stronger, move with more confidence, and understand the body they're living in.
I don't believe your body needs to be forced into submission. I believe it needs to be understood, challenged, and given the right conditions to adapt.
Together, we'll look at how you move and build a practice around your body's structure, history, goals, and capacity.
WHAT WE WORK ON
Strength Build meaningful strength, stability, and physical capacity.
Movement Improve the way you move through space with greater coordination, control, and confidence.
Body Awareness Learn to recognize patterns, compensations, tension, and the signals your body is giving you.

Sometimes your body needs less effort, not more.
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on practice that works with the body's subtle rhythms and patterns of tension.
Through light touch we create space for your nervous system to slow down and for you to become more aware of what you're holding.
Rather than trying to force the body to change, the work is about listening, noticing where there is tension, restriction, or imbalance, and allowing the body the time and conditions to respond.
THE PRACTICE
LISTEN
We begin by slowing down and paying attention to the signals of your body. present.RELEASE
Gentle, sustained touch can create an opportunity for areas of tension to soften.REGULATE
The session provides a quiet environment for your system to shift out of constant doing and into a more restful state.INTEGRATE
You leave with a deeper awareness of your body and the patterns you're carrying.WHAT A SESSION FEELS LIKE
You remain fully clothed and comfortably supported while I use gentle contact at different areas of the body, including the head, spine, pelvis, and feet.
There is no stretching, forcing, or intense manipulation.
Some people experience a profound sense of stillness. Others notice changes in breathing, muscle tension, temperature, sensation, or emotional awareness.
There is no particular experience you need to have.
The practice is simply an invitation to listen.
THIS WORK MAY BE FOR YOU IF...
you feel like you're constantly “on”
you carry a lot of physical tension
you have difficulty slowing down or truly resting
you feel disconnected from your body
you're interested in exploring a gentler form of bodywork
you want to complement an active strength or movement practice with deeper recovery and awareness

Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®) is a series of simple movements designed to invite the body’s natural shaking and tremoring response. In a guided session, you’ll learn how to access this response in a safe, supported way, while developing greater awareness of your body and its capacity to regulate and settle.
TRE can be a powerful complement to strength training, bodywork, and other movement practices. Sessions are individualized to your needs and experience, with an emphasis on pacing, awareness, and learning to listen to your body rather than pushing through it.
