Personal Training and Craniosacral Therapy in ATX

Structure Creates Freedom

I care deeply about strength. And I don't believe strength means constantly pushing harder.

I'm interested in efficiency and building the capacity to move through the world with stability, coordination, confidence, and ease.

That means sometimes I challenge you. Sometimes I’ll encourage you to slow down. Sometimes I’ll change the plan entirely because your body is demanding you redirect your focus.

Certified in Personal Training, Corrective Exercise, Craniosacral Therapy, TRE, and Nutrition with a degree in Health Psychology. I have spent 15+ years studying and working with movement and the human body.

Beyond my formal certifications, much of my education has come through thousands of hours working with clients, watching patterns emerge, learning when to intervene, learning when not to, and becoming comfortable with the fact that every body requires a slightly different equation.

MY HOPE FOR YOU

I don't want you to need me forever.

I want you to become increasingly fluent in your own body.

To know when you need to push.

When you need to rest.

When something feels off. When something feels aligned.

When you need more stability. When you need more freedom.

And when the answer isn't another workout, another restriction, or another person telling you what your body should be doing.

I want you to trust yourself.

Because ultimately, I'm not trying to teach you how to listen to me.

I'm teaching you how to listen to you.

About Courtney Sprawls

For more than a decade, I've been studying the human body. Learning about how it moves, adapts, compensates, strengthens, holds tension, and communicates.

My work began with strength and movement, but the deeper I went, the less interested I became in treating the body like a collection of isolated parts. The body is an integrated system.

Muscles, bones, fascia, nervous system, breath, habits, environment, thoughts, and experience are constantly influencing one another. My job is to look closely enough to understand those relationships and help you understand them, too.

MY APPROACH

I'm a personal trainer and craniosacral therapist, and my work sits at the intersection of strength, anatomy, movement, and awareness.

I don't believe in forcing the body into a predetermined protocol.

Instead, we pay attention. We investigate.

We make adjustments. We see what changes. Then we build from there.

I want you to leave our work with more than a good workout or temporary pain relief. You will get the results you came in for- weight loss, muscle gain, strength, confidence, pain-free movement, etc. And.. I want you to understand your body well enough to recognize what you need, make informed decisions, and have confidence to care for yourself beyond our sessions.

Trust your own internal compass.

  • “I am not being hyperbolic when I say that working with Courtney has fundamentally changed the way I understand my body and movement, and has therefore changed my life. Courtney’s approach to training is extremely personalized and caring; she has helped me pay attention and tune into my body to understand what it needs in terms of movement. Courtney is incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented. She always offers tiny adjustments and improvements to my form to help prevent injury and get the most out of each movement. When I started training with her, I had never lifted weights or had a strength practice but she created workouts that were accessible and comfortable for me. As I got stronger, she has challenged me more, and now I feel comfortable and empowered lifting on my own. Courtney also has expertise in a ton of different modalities, so depending on what my body is needing, she transitions our sessions from strength training to barre to yoga to HIIT seamlessly. I can’t recommend working with Courtney enough. I’ve watched my body grow stronger than I thought possible over the three years we’ve worked together and I always enjoy our time together. " - Alice

  • “Coach Courtney ended my DIY fitness era and I started seeing results in two weeks working with her. My nagging shoulder pain went from a 7/10 down to a 1 or 2 out of 10. My muscles have activated properly, allowing the full chain to move optimally together. She notices the smallest details and immediately supports my day-to-day needs. Courtney makes me feel seen and heard along my fitness journey. Highly recommend hiring an expert like Coach Court for the lasting results you seek." - Riley B

  • “I've been working with Courtney for 3 months and can positively say that my life has changed for the better. I really appreciate that she places a huge emphasis on mind-body connection. This has allowed me to be more confident in my solo gym sessions and really engage in the working muscles. I sought out Courtney initially to deal with persistent hip pain... She not only helped me eliminate the pain by helping to engage and strengthen the weaker muscles, but also allowed me to improve my overall strength and posture, far beyond what I had expected given the short period of time. My favorite thing about Courtney is that she will always meet you where you are at. If she sees a certain area of my body is not moving at 100%, she'll add in movements to the session to get me there. If I'm having an off day, she knows not to push too hard, but enough so that I still feel accomplished. She's worth every dollar and is the best trainer I have ever worked with." - Bhagya S

  • “I’ve worked with trainers over the years but never have I felt as strong, confident and sexy as I do after 3 months with Courtney. I have muscles popping out in places I didn’t even know I had muscles. Courtney knows how to work the body efficiently and adjust to what’s happening in real time. She has also really helped me become more aware of my own body and correct some posture issues which has led to way less pain from old injuries. I couldn’t recommend her more.” - Mellisa R

  • "I've seen significant strength gains and weight loss after working out with Courtney for 3 months. My shoulders used to be weak and my back was chronically sore despite weekly massages. I feel much better now and have a solid foundation to progress from.” - Shaun T

  • “I originally met Courtney through Generator where she was the head trainer and I quickly became obsessed with her classes. She immediately stood out as an exceptional trainer, being so attentive to form, high energy, great music, just made the whole workout fun, and jam packed the hour with movement! I gained so much strength, postural awareness, and confidence during that time. When she moved on from the gym I followed her and the workouts were even better. Courtney is not only an incredible personal trainer, she’s an amazing human who truly cares for her clients and their health goals. Can’t recommend her enough!" - Dana S

  • “Courtney has been such a game-changer for my fitness and strength development. We’ve been working together for about six months now, and I’ve really enjoyed the curated training programs she puts together. I’ve seen my strength increase significantly across all of the major lifts, and having a planned-out program means I’m never guessing what I should be doing in the gym. Courtney is open to immediate feedback on her programs and will adjust them if you want to include other types of movements. Overall, I’m so glad we've been able to work together and I highly recommend checking her out if you’re looking to add more structure, accountability, and growth to your fitness routine." - Chris S

  • “Courtney is an exceptional trainer. In fact, the best trainer I have ever had! She truly understands my unique strengthening and self-care needs, which allows her to make customized training routines. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a deep understanding of body mechanics and how the muscles and tendons are interrelated. She is very attentive and focused throughout her sessions with me. I highly, highly recommend Courtney!" - Dave S
